Many foreign nationals are deported each week, often to Countries in which they haven't lived for many years.
    This is a true story of the challenges faced in dealing with life after prison, Detention centres, deportation, and assimilation back into society. It also chronicles my journey back to success and rebuilding confidence and self esteem, with a candid look at drugs, coping with depression and anxiety, societies judgements and assumptions,and is the final step in completing the circle of my story, from self medication through addiction to rehabilitation and rebuilding a new life.

      The Gay Version of Breaking Bad! - Buzzfeed Stress, Experimentation, Indulgence Everyone is into Chemsex - everyone wants to get 'High and Horny' and PnP is a normal weekend pastime. At least that's what it seems when you log onto one of the many gay apps now available, And if it's not your bag, be prepared to be bullied, ridiculed, scorned and demeaned, such is the attitude towards the few chemsex virgins still left. Chemsex, for the uninitiated, refers to sex parties lasting three or more days, fuelled by recreational drugs such as crystal Methamphetamine or Gamma-Butylactose (GBL), where up to 100 men will gather for indiscriminate sex, in fact, gay middle-class men of almost any professional background are spurning relationships to inject, or 'slam' class A narcotics every weekend all over the world, turning to chems as a substitute for love. Chasing the Dragon is a brutally honest portrayal of this phenomenon, and demonstrates how quickly seemingly successful, civilised men get sucked into a downward vortex, where judgement becomes impaired, and the bizarre becomes the new norm, with disastrous consequences.

It discusses issues such as deaths in custody, gangs, violence, deportation, corruption and drugs. It also chronicles the current state of apathy and lack of interest by prison employees, their lack of training and general intelligence in dealing with the symptoms, not the problems, and offers insight into coping strategies by prisoners in a broken system. Abject waste and inefficiency are rife right across the organisation, particularly given the current policy of budget cuts and staff shortages in this era of austerity, and the tax-payer and government are blissfully unaware.     I grew up in New Zealand, but ran away to find fame and fortune at the age of 19 and have lived abroad ever since, working as a Freelance Journalist for the past 14 years. My main loves are food, wine, travel and fashion, and I've been fortunate enough to have developed a career from writing about these, although I have been known to stray occasionally! I've reviewed most of the top restaurants in the world, writing for international travel and lifestyle magazines worldwide, travelled extensively, and lived in many amazing countries before moving to Britain in 2005, where I've written, presented and produced documentaries, television series and short films. ​ My books are mainly of a memoir and self help genre, or travel and lifestyle, but all are based on personal experience. I'm a keen activist for gay rights, along with prison reform and rehabilitation, and have founded a charity to support victims of drugs and the chemsex culture, funded by the proceeds of 'The Chemsex Trilogy' I'm currently single, incredibly selfish, and bloody difficult to live with. When I'm not writing, I enjoy reading, skiing, sailing, horse racing and formula 1, the beach, dining out and a good party. I live in Monaco, Cyprus and  Andorra
