The Journey Part 2: Is This How It All Ends?
()
About this ebook
Henry's so engrossed with his thoughts he's oblivious to the magical moment created by the bright headlights; closely accompanied by the humming of the engine and the occasional crackling sounds of the fallen twigs and the small branches breaking under the all-weather tires running effortlessly on the dusty road; all, leaving in their wake the predictable darkness engulfing the woods.
If only Henry knew what awaits him, surly his thoughts would be a great deal different. Henry's first journey was ~life altering~ and it came just as unexpectedly. And again the question still remains, are you ready, are you willing to journey with him?

It's 8:21a.m. as Danielle slowly enters the large livingroom from the long unlighted hallway, leisurely dressed in an elegant house coat. She's rather tall and slender, very attractive. Her hair and eyes are a dark brown and she has very a smooth olive complexion. She's already brushed her hair and of course, as usual, she's also put on her face. From her neck up she looks like she's ready for an evening out. Her appearance, first thing in the morning, has always been very important to her. It either makes or breaks her day.
Joshua remains standing in front of the large bay window in his bathrobe and knee high socks, as she enters. His back is towards her as he gazes silently out the window at the serene terrain of trees, and the lake covered with a layer of hazy fog; which is rather normal for this time of year. He remains standing there holding his chin with his right hand, apparently deep in thought. His left hand is positioned under the elbow of his right arm for support.
Actually, to Danielle, he doesn't appear to be as focused on the terrain, as he is on some inner thoughts.
The hardwood floor creaks a few times from Danielle's otherwise silent bare-footed steps. Joshua remains non-responsive to Danielle's entering the room. Then for no apparent reason he quickly moves his hands to his hips. His elbows protruding, he moves his lanky arms slowly back an forth. His fingers are turned towards his back giving his already long fingers the appearance of being even longer; while also, clearly showing his unusual flexibility.
His red hair is neatly trimmed, although the back of his hair could use a comb. There's a pillow and a tangled up blanket on the large sectional sofa showing where he had slept the night.
He's a young man, very tall and slender. He has sharp facial features, green eyes, a long thin face, high cheek bones, hollow cheeks, ruddy complexion, and a rather pronounced Adam's apple.
How's it going Josh?
Danielle asks, in a hushed voice.
It's all good,
he answers in a deep quiet voice.
Then quickly turning, he holds his hands up, extending his opened hands back and forth towards her a couple of times, indicating to hold it, as he walks rather deliberately over to the computer setting on the desk.
The desk actually looks more like organized chaos than anything else; there are books and papers cluttered all over the desk and the floor. The second he sits down he starts entering more new data into the computer for the novel he's working on.
Danielle walks quietly over to where he is; stopping behind him, she leans over his shoulder for a better look at what he's entering into his computer.
Do you mind?
she whispers.
No, as long as you can remain quiet for now,
he answers, in a halting whispered voice. While entering in the new data into his computer. Danielle anxiously, starts reading as she has at other times...
...early in their marriage Henry and Cynthia invested a good deal of money
