About this ebook

My fourth book is a reflection of my first and second books: A Indian girl who learned how to overcome abuse by her parents. By having her own friends. And spending her summers in the wilderness.
Lots of fiction short-stories, some are of real people inspiring-stories. And real life of the author family, and her friends:
There is lots of scripture, its how Gena overcame her hard-life of her childhood: After she married in 1954, her life became exciting as they went on hikes, hunting and fishing, trips, even after the five children were born: Gena cared full-time homemaker; She enjoyed her children every day playing with them:
In 1977, Gena took a writers-class at night, at the local college. Also a nurses aide training-class:
I learned to love the country, when we leased the folks beautiful place, surrounded by a grove of trees: I learned how to dress out chickens and help with all the work:
The love of God! How rich and pure, its greater far that pen or tongue can ever tell, to write the love of God above, would drain the ocean dry:

A NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN—GIRL; SPENDS HER ‘SUMMER ADVENTURES, IN THE WILDERNESS; AND HER FRIENDS:

Yellow Feather at age 7, has straight black long-hair, and wears red sandals; colorful red, yellow-black head-bands and skirts, with a beaded cloth-belt; her mom made for her: She lived with her folks Lucy and Lambert, in their log-cabin, at the edge of the woods, she has a older brother Tomahawk 9. he also wears his Indian-leather-pants, and a black head-band with a red-feather; and a Tomahawk tied to his belt; He has a brown shaggy dog named Rufus:

Her parents were abusive while she grew up, they often put her in a hall-closet for long periods of time, sometimes without supper, they ate mostly venison, (deer meat) cornbread, rice and beans: Her dad would hunt with his large bow-and arrow; around the mountains, and valley’s: They have farm-animals, several goats that graze the mountain-sides and slopes: Lucy wears colorful beads, and clothing; and goes barefoot around outside and in her garden, she carries a weaved-basket over her arm, when she goes to the market for flour, cornmeal, and materials to sew their clothes: They have chickens for eggs, and two milk—goats:

One sunny summer—day; Yellow Feather on her eleventh birthday, while alone at home, quickly made plans—to go to the woods; she put on her Indian—outfit, her brother gave her his Tomahawk to carry on her belt; she would stay in the forest every summer from then on; as she often had dreamed about:—Grabbing a brown pillow-case, from deep down in her closet; she put in some of her things:—

Yellow Feather’s first night in the wilderness by herself:—As it was getting dark, she hurried to clear a spot, trying to sleep in her thin—sleeping-bag; as she was getting—scared, she could hear the howling wolves from the surrounding hilltops: The next day, she went back home, for her black-boots, and some food:—As she walked along the creek-beds, through the bull-rushes, and around the mountain edge: she began to think about her brother, and how she wished he would come to the woods; she kept walking to the local store, to get her self some treats:—There she had met a barefoot,—thin looking girl, wearing a brown poke-a dot dress; about her age, named Echo who mostly hung around the store. She seamed sad as she sat on the steps; holding her head in her hands:—Yellow Feather. her brother Tomahawk, and friends, Echo, and her brother Arrow, and Frank-Einstein, stayed the summers in the wilderness: She felt better that her parents treated her better, after that first summer in the wilderness:—Echo’s folks did too.—They all learned how to make-do, sneaking home from time to time, for clothes, and food like peanut-butter, hunks of cheese and homemade-bread, They had made a stone-fire place, and all five, had fun together:

‘Yellow Feather had spent her summers in the wilderness:—She left the wilderness to go back home; her brother Tomahawk, all her friends; Echo, her brother Arrow, and Frankenstein; left for home:

One day when Chosen was almost seventeen, ‘she got her a apartment, in the small town of Red-Neck, and she changed her name to Chosen, (from the Bible) her friend Echo, who she had met at the local store, also changed her name to ‘Claire she works for the Elementary school, her senior year:—The girls love their own apartment, of freedom and independence, laughing about the boys, at school, its several miles ride on the school—bus, up the winding mountain—road, and down to the—new River-Valley high school:

She graduated as Valedictorian of her class, Max was class president: Chosen and Claire went walking, to the carnival away’ s from the store, Saturday, just to get a yellow feather:

Chosen went to a Bible study, with her neighbor lady; at the big brick building, Evangelical church. She and Max are dating quite regularly after several months, of having fun, and dating, and one night they stayed together on the couch:—One night they had a big argument, after she told him she is pregnant:—He quits speaking to her, or seeing her; even at school:—She had took a 10 week—nursing—course, and will get her certificate: she sees Maxwell sitting in class:—She spends a lot of lonely nights, with out Max: She has a miscarriage, and is very upset and goes to a pastor at the community church for counseling for a few sessions.—She likes her sectary—job, and works from 1:00 to 4:00 p. m. five days a week:

One day in the early spring, Chosen 22, is feeling great again and goes on a trip for a week, with Claire; to Disneyland in Florida:—When she got home, she has a call from Maxwell, he told her, he is an intern, at the local hospital. Her and Maxwell are getting back together again. After they have a few dates. One day Chosen got a riding horse, she loved riding Midnight around the mountain roads, she would ride for hours. Her friend Claire got a riding—horse, they went riding on Sunday afternoons together:

That late summer Claire and Bob went back home to the Midwest, to see her family, and to get married, in her parents church. He is a computer consultant: Chosen’s husband Maxwell got a spotted riding horse; Often Sunday afternoon they all would hit the trails—through the mountain ranges:

Chosen’s girlfriend Claire, had a baby girl, in the late summer, they named her Wanda Sue:—They have a smaller dog—named Jack. All four of them went riding along the river, after supper, going swimming, at the river, it was a very hot day. One evening they got back after 8 p.m. The folks were getting tired, and left quickly: They all had a barbeque, at Chosen’s and Max’s back yard, sometimes deer come right up to the white fence. Her parents came, and they had invited a few neighbors and—friends. The three kids were in play-pens, together, with each their own blanket and a bottle. Chosen, went to take her horse midnight out to ride. After the dinner, She had to start work at midnight. She had got her mother to watch the kids, for the evening: Suddenly while riding around; she felt lost, She thought she knew the area well. She kept turning to look for the path back, but she found, what looked like a cross sign, someone marked the path: But she was so sure it couldn’t be the way back. The family kept looking down the country road for her. Where is that girl anyway! said her dad. It was late October, and the wind picked up, they all were sitting on the patio together, they cleaned off the tables, and went inside, after they had homemade ice-cream:

All three men quickly got their horses bridled,—a cowboy friend, from the other side of the mountain, went along, taking a long rope, and their water—canisters. They trailed up the winding road riding a few miles together, then they spread out, after several hours, Lucy her mother called the sheriff:—Chosen was planning only to go a few miles, to do some thinking; Her horse had stumbled in a bagger hole, and she fell off and hurt her leg. She lays there for awhile, before crawling down to the water edge, and partly under the bench, for shelter from the rain, and wind. She thinks I’m glad I wore my riding pants, and leather coat, and boots. Around midnight, they found her, watching the ducks, she had crawled off the mountain side. She was fine, but had lost one boot, and was very thirsty. Her water bottle was empty. Everyone told her she should never go off by herself. Midnight had got a new horse-shoe put on. Tomahawk did it:

She had taken her grandchildren home to her house:

They would fly south on the 747-Boeing, They left early Thursday morning, and will come back on the following Tuesday afternoon: They ‘laughed a lot and dressed like cowgirls, complete with big colored straw-hats. They also had a shaggy big-dog. And different kinds of snakes, and a few other reptiles out back. She made a large tossed—salad, with meat, rice, we all ate it, with a sauce, and hard dry-bread,. they said, it was healthy for us:

One evening Chosen and Claire had to read stories to a large number of colorful dressed children, it was very hot, the kids danced, and swirled around with a smile: Afterwards they all headed to the creek, to play; and they went swimming at some ones pool. When the girls got back to their camps, they went in their tents to rest.
