The 22 Reasons Why You’re Not Yet Rich

Lesson 1

HOW IMPORTANT IS MONEY?

Money is life’s support system, but, too small an object to run a man’s life. That was why God declared, Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you Matthew 6:33. He further noted, Ye cannot serve God and mammon. This is a principle of life. Thus, faith in God comes first. It is also what makes the faith for everything else possible. God knows what is best for us, and "…no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly"(Psalm 84:11)

Unfortunately, for money, men will sell their souls, women their bodies, and everyone is tempted to lose their virtue. Our Lord Jesus Christ was betrayed because of love of money. Ananias and Sapphira lied about their money through their fear of failure. In his hatred of the Gospel, Demetrius caused a rebellion against the Apostle Paul because of the loss of his revenue derived from the worship of the goddess, Diana. Paul’s ship was wrecked because of the greed of its owners, and only Paul’s intercession saved the crew from death. Jezebel hated Elijah and tried to kill him because of the loss of revenue which came about through the destruction of her prophets and their ministries.

It is common knowledge that most men spend the majority of their time on earth thinking about money. Even in divorce, money and children are the greatest causes of litigation. Governments fall into corruption by money’s misuse. People perish from lack: not having adequate money for food and life sustainability. Families are destroyed from the stress of having too much money, and/or not having enough. Men worship more when money seems not to be sufficient. But, it should not be so!

Blessed is the man…(whose) delight is in the law of the Lord…Whatever he does prospers, The Psalmist wrote. Therefore, in the words of Edwin Louis Cole, as documented in his best-selling book, "Communication, Sex and MoneyOvercoming The Three Common Challenges In Relationship", Prosperity is the natural, sequentially-ordered result of righteousness in life. Wherever there is righteousness, there is prosperity. It is a principle of life that is true whether in money or marriage. A right relationship produces prosperity

The passionate pursuit of money alone, without vision, makes mockery of men. The
