      Did you apply for a job only to never hear back from them? Have you experienced the silent rejection and are incredibly disheartened? If so, you are not the only one. Unfortunately, today, the market is overcrowded, and it is becoming difficult to get noticed. Today every job receives way too many resumes.

      One of the factors contributing to this is the advancement in technology. It allows an organization to post the job online where thousands of people can view it. This gives them access to a wider target market, which naturally augments the amount of competition. On the other end of the spectrum, owing to the economic conditions every individual who sees a particular opportunity applies for it.

      So, people irrespective of whether they are a good match or not will click the Apply button. They do not have anything to lose anyway! Recruiters and hirers, however, now have a lot of work to do. A bombardment of resumes and applications has led to giving each resume only 10-15 seconds. Moreover, the increase in the labor pool also means a lower probability of being hired.
