For trained jeweller Sapna Mehta, pearls have always had a certain appeal. “They are lively and capture light in a way that makes them luminescent,” she says. Which is why her latest collection, Colista—featuring danglers, bracelets, and rings—celebrates this gemstone. A graduate of the Gemological Institue of America, UK, Mehta studied gemology and design, and set up her first store, Sapna Signature, in London in 1998.
