- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Intriguing.
A very different yet reasonable outlook, maybe an alien would describe our lifestyle like this.
I would love to refer this one to my people. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very good, creative, and funny. It is awesome, take it for what it is and you will enjoy reading this book.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I starting with no expectation, but this book really good!

The Story:
A seriously cute comic about a group of beings and their experiences on this strange planet. I love their point of view and their quirky vocabulary. My only fault with the book, which may not really be a fault but just the way I’m used to seeing it presented, is it was kind of overwhelming reading it all straight through. I’m used to seeing them shared by the artist daily on his Instagram page and I think that is what I prefer. This would make an excellent coffee table book as I feel it could start many enjoyable conversations.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Aufgrund der Goodreads Choice Awards gelesen.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Cute and funny! A great collection of this comic. Made me laugh out loud a few times
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I really loved the book. I really liked how the characters talked in ways that were entertaining and strange.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Lool very nice book a new idea about a graph book .. it’s so simply idea about how to look or variable the things about us or daily life .. very adult and funny .
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This is a short book of ironic humor. The author provides a common sense point of view of common experiences. The terminology and explanations provide insight into some of our illogical activities. Moderately humorous.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Many of these little comics make me smile.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5My introduction to the Strange Planet comics and I loved it! Interpreting the formal alien dialogue was half the fun: "Imagine pleasant nonsense" for "sweet dreams"; "may we initiate obscure and pursue" for "can we play hide and seek?"; "sustenance preserver" for "refrigerator; 'mouthpush" for "kiss." Outrageous and hilarious!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Strange Planet is funny. I think this is how Sheldon would talk to his child if he and Amy produced a being.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is definitely my kind of humor. I read it in the voices of the Coneheads on SNL.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved this book. I love the idea of someone else trying to explain things that we do everyday. It really made me laugh out loud. I could read one aloud to a co-worker and he/she will totally know what I am talking about without even seeing the pictures. This really is a fun read.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Straight from the mind of New York Times bestselling author Nathan W. Pyle comes an adorable and profound universe in pink, blue, green, and purple. Based on the phenomenally popular Instagram of the same name, Strange Planet covers a full life cycle of the planet’s inhabitants. This is a fun look at everyday life through the eyes of a family of aliens. I love the super-literal language the beings in this book use, from mouthstones for teeth to lifegiver for parent to two-wheeled foot pusher for bicycle. The humor is layered from basic to an underlying cynicism. There is also an undeniable kindness in these aliens. I have become addicted to them.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I loved these comics, which show how absurd, when you stop to think about it, some of our practices and customs are. It does this mostly by giving things names which are perhaps more descriptive of their reality. Some examples: "tanning"= star damage; "sunglasses"= personal star dimmers; "coffee"=jitter liquid; "cut flowers"=dying plants; "vase"=death cylinder for dying plants; "necktie"=seriousness cloth. And so on. Lots of sorely needed chuckles here.3 stars
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Wonderful dry humor.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This ones a collection of cartoons featuring the grey aliens. The schtick is that the aliens are living typical American lives and talking about them with descriptive phrases instead of the typical words. For example, the Sun is referred to as "the Star" and people are routinely called "beings". The strips are amusing and the art is cute. I don't know why I like them so much--maybe it's a break from more cynical or sarcastic humor. Whatever the reason, it's on my shelf.--J.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Strange Planet is a comic based around a simple concept, the retelling of everyday events on a strangle planet. Yet, despite being such a simple concept it's the execution that makes it hilarious. The wording combined with the little alien facial expressions when relaying ordinary events such as when the parent alien is sitting at the dining table with the child alien and there is salad left on the dinner plates and the parent alien tells the child alien to 'ingest your leaves' the child replies 'I do not desire leaves' to which the parent replies 'put the leaves in your mouth' to which the child replies 'it is an unpleasant sensation'. The parent then states 'life will be full of unpleasant sensations, you need to experience a wide range so you can properly gauge which ones are worst' and ends with the child alien banging his head on the dining table. Vastly better with the illustrations, trust me.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Odd blue beings with a distinctive speech pattern live on a planet eerily similar to ours. Their observations of everyday life and customs highlight the humor and absurdity of our human existence. If you've never encountered these beings, or if you've seen a few comics here and there, but would like to see more, this book is an excellent c o m p e n d i u m (as the beings' creator might say). If you've a big fan (as I am), the book is fun to have, but there's not a huge amount of new content, and none of the new comics was an immediate favorite for me. The book is worth getting, just know that much of it is content that is already available online.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A collection of Nathan W. Pyle's charming comics of aliens experiencing life on Earth. I find constant delight in how the alien's phrase their observations and highly recommend checking out his stuff if you haven't before.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Superb!If you've never read Nathan W. Pyle's "Strange Planet" strip you should look it up online today. If you've seen it you know what you'll be getting. This book is nicely bound, printed in colour and features some new and revised content.Highly recommended.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Simple concept, huge laughs. Pyle has aliens re-enact/experience everyday human activities to expose the hilarious craziness of things we accept as perfectly normal.
