About this ebook

When a rift is torn in the fabric of time, immortals break into the world - but the Wild Hunt cares nothing for life, because their world doesn’t know death. The immortals ride flaming horses through the night sky and hunt anything that moves. And when every living thing is gone, they will grieve - because there’s nothing left to kill.

A tale for children, in the spirit of Alan Garner, Susan Cooper, and all the legends where good battles against the evil of human greed.

“This story is a fascinating study in character development. Liam's personal journey is portrayed in a way which is real and never descends into being cloying or maudlin. I love the strong character of his 16 year old blind cousin June, who is so much more than a tokenistic or sentimental disabled character, and the moment where Liam describes empathy for June as she is upset after a nightmare will stay with me for a long time. Liam makes the point that a blind person cannot comfort themself after a nightmare by switching on the light; that brought me up short and taught me something valuable. The interweaving of mythical figures gives the story extra depth and excitement. This is a very distinctive work which is well worth a read.”

“I was surprised how much I liked and related to this book. I'm female and not a young adult nor a motorcycle rider but for some reason I raced through this book with huge enjoyment. The main character Liam is interesting and his personality gruff but somehow likeable--the more I read the more wrapped up I became in his evolution and emotional development. When he and his cousin June get together and discover they are more than they had ever dreamt of being, I couldn't wait to see how it was all going to work out.”

“The countryside in the area was like a character itself, I really want to see it in person now. The story was very well written, and had some very surprising twists and turns. I'm hoping there's a sequel. I would read anything by this author.”
