      Intro: What is a side hustle 

      A side hustle goes by several different names these days: side gig, g-job, supplemental income, and the list goes on. The basic idea is you have one primary job. This job pays the bills and puts food on the table. The side hustle is something you do in addition to that primary job that puts money in your pocket.  

      What type of work does a side hustle entail? It varies. The side hustle could be a hobby you have and do on a regular basis or a one-time task for a paying customer.  

       Let me give you two examples. A friend of a friend works as an engineer, but he also has a love of Legos. The sculptures he makes with Legos are sold at art auctions. A second and more famous example is Jay Leno.
