      Foreword

      The poetry in this book was written out of love, and the emotions, both good and bad that accompany it. This collection was penned between 1997 and 1998. I was blessed with this talent to write and I thought that it should be shared with as many people as possible.

      I am giving an intimate look into my thought process and my own personal trials, tribulations, triumphs, and feelings about the situations of my life. Hopefully, everyone will feel what I felt upon reading my works.

      To Mrs. Lenora Smith, thank you for discovering my talent to write and for providing me with the best outlet that life has to offer. If it were not for you, these words may not have ever been written.

      My Prayer

      Lord won’t you please shine your light down on me

      and make me be the best man i can be

      there is a young lady i need in my life
