Introduction: During dinner, the meal will be invaded by Will and Jordan in pirate costumes to challenge the Grove boys to a test of their Pirate mettle. In riveting improvised dramatization, they will tell the Grove to meet them at OLS. Setup: The camp is split into 5 teams of 20, prearranged into colors and listed on printouts, with one coach per team chosen from the Grove Staff: -Black -White -Blue -Orange -Red All teams will form in area near Grove OLS after changing into team colors to assign events and to begin the Pirate Gauntlet. Gauntlet Events: 1.) Plunder: 5 Counselors defend 5 sets of 5 treasures. The 5 campers from each team attempt to grab a piece of treasure and return it to their team. When they obtain all 5, the defending counselor gives them the treasure map to the next event. 2. Crows Nest Cannonball Dodge: 3 Campers per team must stilt walk through a gauntlet of 10 counselors who attempt to knock the camper from the stilts before reaching the finish. If a camper is knocked off, they must start again. Once they reach the finish, they return the stilts to their team to continue. After all 3 have completed, the team is given a map to the next event. 3. Privateer Puzzle: 8 Campers from each team will have a riddle posed to them by a counselor on the GWC Boys Sports Field. The Riddles will be of equal difficulty, and the team will move on when the riddle is completed. 4. Sea Sprint: A 2 camper team enter a canoe at the girls swim dock and canoe as fast as possible to the boys dock where the treasure dive will begin. The team will follow progress and cheer along the bank.

5. Treasure Dive: Strewn about the boys swim area are floating treasures, and on the bottom of each is a number between 1 and 6 (one set of six per team). One at a time, the 3 campers per team dive to finish their set. Each camper has a specific number to find each roundfor instance the first camper has to find a number one on his first time out, and a number 3 on his second. The first team to finish their set of six are declared Pirate Kings, and force the invading Pirates (Will and Jordan) off the plank.
