ACM202 Assignment One In this assignment I chose to focus on applying the auto exposure function of Camera Raw, Aperture and Lightroom to both sets of images in order to examine how they differed.
For the first image there is a noticeable difference in all three different final images. Lightroom creates a warm tone, Camera Raw creates a cooler look and Aperture gives an over-exposed appearance, as is evident when looking at the envelope at the back of the desk as it appears to blend into the wall behind it.

Lightroom Overall the colours are much more vibrant in the final result created using Lightroom, in particular the pinks and the reds. In the final result produced by Camera Raw there is a slight bluish haze across the entire image, especially in the right hand top corner. Lightroom also seems to have produced a sharper image overall in comparison to the other two final results and Aperture produces less depth in the final result.

In the second set of images there is less of a difference between the final products for Camera Raw and Lightroom, although Aperture again creates a more over-exposed result. The coloured pieces in the bottle are noticeably less colour saturated in the final result from Aperture and the colour of the B looks grey rather than black. It is difficult to differentiate between the finished results from Lightroom and Camera Raw but both give a more three dimensional appearance to the objects than Aperture.

Lightroom The program I would choose to use is Lightroom, as I believe that it has created the most realistic final result of both images. I also prefer the brighter colours and warmer tone. However because there appeared to be distortions of colour in each program I would prefer in future to not use the auto function but to make my own adjustments.
