    1. Why subnetting and supernetting is required in computer networks? What are the advantages of using them? Also explain the CIDR in detail. 2. Why dont we have IPv5? Why the IPv6 came just after the IPv4? Also explain the address space and address structure of IPv6. Compare IPv4 and IPv6. 3. Explain the timeout and retransmission algorithms used in TCP and also explain the congestion control in TCP. 4. What are the shortcoming of RIP and how OSPF removes them? Explain the reasons of popularity of OSPF over RIP. Write the characteristics of OSPF. 5. Why there is a need of Autonomous system. Explain the hidden network concept. What are the different types of routing algorithms? Compare the distance vector and link vector routings and static routing and dynamic routing. 6. Explain the different messages of RIP and OSPF.
