Isolation always wanting to be alone rather than mingle with larger group of people. Displacement (alcohol abuse, cigarette smoking, substance abuse- some prohibited drugs like Marijuana) transferring or discharging of emotional reactions from one object or person to another object or person. Suppression unable to express feelings or problem to a significant other and keeps the problem to himself.

Global Assessment of Functioning Score: 55 Axis 5 Upon interaction, Ms. MB manifested flat affect and disorganized and poverty of speech. She has difficulty in social functioning with only few friends in the hospital and without conflicts with fellow patients.
