Mission of Education through ICT, MHRD, Govt. of India(Ref: Times of India, Dated:31/08/12) About The Remote Center A remote center is a place where participating teachers will attend the workshops. The lecturers for these workshops will be delivered by the Faculty at IIT and same will be transmitted live at remote center. Labs and tutorials will be conducted at remote centers under the guidance of the faculty trained at IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur under the supervision of faculty at IIT.

Requirements Max Classroom Capacity = 50 seats(minimum) Max Lab Capacity with internet = 50 seats(minimum) Overhead Projector with Large Screen UPS Backup to sustain power for all required hardware Direct internet line with one public IP address in the classroom/lab Internet Bandwidth, Download: 1Mbps Upload: 1 Mbps Video Camera with tripod Video Capture Device Professional Wireless/Wired MIC with 10 meters long cable One Professional Audio Mixer with Single Amplifier or Two high watts audio amplifiers with four good speakers

Benefits: Workshops are funded by the IIT Bombay through MHRD. Faculties will get exposure at IITs. Useful for the teachers of Amity University and nearby colleges to enhance the technical skills through workshops.
