Interference with communication circuits

Interference due to electrostatic effect and Electromagnetic effect Electrostatic effect induces voltage in communication line, which dangerous to human body, vehicles, buildings and objects Electromagnetic effect produces current which is superimposed on the true speech currents in the communication signal and cause distortion Both the effect depends on the distance between power and communication lines and the length of the route over which they are parallel.

Radio Interference
Radio interference is a noise type that occurs in the amplitude modulation radio reception Corona noise includes with carrier signals transmitted along with EHV lines. RI CE dB Radio interference depends on the field strength (Emax)

Flux linkages of conductor p due to currents Ia, Ib, and Ic in the power line p

Similarly Total flux linkages of the communication line pq = p- q

Mutual inductance Voltage induced in the line is V=j =jMIA v/m For a balanced current, the net flux linkages and induced emf are small. If the power lines are transposed, the net flux linkages are zero. For a unbalanced currents, net flux linkages and induced emf are very high magnitude in case of single phase to ground fault condition Third harmonic currents produced and may cause unbalance.

ELECTROSTATIC EFFECT
