When he was brought back from the kennel, he sprang at his master on seeing him, but when he saw that his master was unfit and was struggling to maintain his balance, he never jumped on him again. Duke really cared for Hooper. There were times when Hooper behaved indifferently when Duke tried to nudge or fondle him, but the dog never growled. Finally, it was with Duke's assistance that Hooper started to move and recover. Duke was a faithful dog who always stood by his master. (Q10.) happened, Duke did not console with his master. Instead, he waited till his master finally got up and stood on both his feet. The master and his dog kept persevering even when the going got tough. The miraculous recovery of Chuck would not have been possible if both he and Duke were not determined. It was their steely determination that helped Duke and Chuck achieve their goal. Finally, it can be said that Duke and Chuck complemented each other very well. They worked in tandem and theirs was a combined effort.
