Judul Modul : Kode Modul : Tanggal Pembuatan : 1. Isi water bath dengan air. 2. Nyalakan water bath dengan menghubungkan kabel listrik pada power source 220 Volt. 3. Isi labu bundar dengan pelarut dan batu didih. 4. Isi esktraktor dengan sampel: a. Untuk ekstraktot butt isi thimble dengan urutan: kapas-sampel-kapas, masukkan thimble ke dalam ekstraktor. b. Untuk esktraktor soxhlet tutup lubang pipa shifon dengan kertas/kain saring sebelum mengisi sampel. 5. Rangkai labu bundar-ekstraktor-kondensor di water bath menggunakan statif. 6. Pasang selang di kondensor ke air pendingin. 7. Nyalakan pompa dengan cara mengubungkan kabel listrik pada power source 220 Volt. 8. Setelah alat selesai digunakan: a. Lepaskan rangkaian alat. b. Ambil sampel. c. Cabut semua kabel listrik yang terhubung ke stop kontak d. Keringkan air di water bath dan tempat penampungan air pendingin. 9. Untuk mendapatkan minyak dari pelarut, lakukan distilasi. Apabila minyak keruh, lakukan penyaringan dengan kertas saring atau corong Buchner. EKSTRAKSI BAHAN MAKANAN EBM 10 Oktober 2011

1. Fill the water bath with water. 2. Turn on the water bath by plugging in the power cable to the 220 V power source. 3. Fill round flask with solvent and boiling stones. 4. Fill the extractor with sample. a. For butt extractor fill the thimble with order: cotton-sample-cotton, put the thimble in the middle of the extractor. b. For soxhlet extractor close the siphon tube hole with the filter paper/cloth before filling in the sample in the extractor. 5. Connect round flask-extractor-condenser over the water bath with stative. 6. Using a plastic hose, connect the condenser to cooling water. 7. Turn on the water pump by plugging in the power cable to the 220 V power source. 8. After using the equipment: a. Release the equipment connection b. Take the sample c. Unplug all power cables connected to the power outlet d. Dry the water in the water bath and in the cooling water container. 9. To get the oil, distillate the oil from the solvent. If the oil is contaminated, filter the oil with filter paper or a Buchner funnel. SAFETY NOTES Always ensure that your lab desk and the area surrounding it is clean and dry before leaving the laboratory. Always ensure that all power cables are unplugged before leaving the laboratory.
