Classroom Management Procedure In my classroom, the students will each have an individual management plan, and will be a part

of a group plan as well. The individual management plan will be a card system, which I selected because of observing in several classrooms and seeing its effectiveness. This plan is also done without disrupting the rest of the class, and makes it easy to monitor a students progress. The group management plan will consist of keeping track of the positive things the class does as a whole. I believe in keeping the classroom community strong, and rewarding them as a whole will encourage them to do outstanding as individuals. The card system I will be using will have the colors blue, green, yellow, orange and red. I believe in starting each day with a clean slate, so every morning, the students will all have a green card regardless of the color the day before. If the student is given a verbal warning, they will change their card to yellow, a second warning will cause them to have to change their card to orange, and any other warning they receive will result in a red card, and a call home. In order for a student to receive a blue card, they must do something helpful or kind without being asked. Just like the red card, that student will receive a call home. For the group, each time the classroom as a whole does something extra positive or outstanding, I will put a marble in a jar. When the jar is full of marbles, the students will have P.A.T. time, or will receive some kind of party. I will not take marbles out of the jar because it is discouraging to the children, and it is necessary to show progress.
