Today we meet again and I would like to talk about interior design versus interior decorator. First of all I will tell you what is interior about? Interior is - inside the region that is inside of something, situated away from a coast or border. -the internal portion or area -being within any limits,inclosure,inner-opposed to exterior or superficial.

Interior decoration Interior or home decorating is the art of decorating a room so that it is attractive, easy to use and function well with the existing architecture. Interior decorating is generally focused on the selection and presentation of interior items within a space such as furniture, accessories, finishes and layout plan. Interior decorator finds way to enhance, embellish or redecorate rooms in privates or public spaces. They can provide decoration and furnishings for homes, offices and even do deco for hotel restaurant and other interior spaces. Whether they work on one room or an entire building-their goal is to make live able, comfortable, nice look and love ables spaces. The goal of interior decoration is to provide a certain feel for the room: It encompasses applying wallpaper, paintings wall and other surfaces. Choosing furniture and fittings such as light fixtures, floor plans and providing other decoration for the area such as paintings, sculptures and carpets.

The responsibility of an interior decorator involves some this jobs -utilizing the floor plan and space planning of a room. -picking a color palette -carpeting and lighting,choose flooring -coordinating all the accessories including plants,art work and artifacts. There is no formal education or association certification needed to work in this field although there are organization to highlight expertise and help them to organize the business.

Interior design on the other hand involves manipulating the architectural integrity of the interior space. Interior design is a multi faceted profession in which creative and technical solutions are applied within a structure to achieve a built interior environment. The interior design process follows a systematic and coordinated methodology including research, analysis and integration of knowledge into the creative process whereby the needs and resources of the clients are satisfied to produce an interior space that fulfills the project goals. The interior designer must not only be knowledgeable in buildings system, but also at times recommend a system concept that supports the goal of the client and the design direction. For example: 1- Flexibility may be a key driver for the space-the interior designer may request that the engineer consider an under floor air distribution systems with a raised floor solution to solve the problem. This impacts the architecture, electric and data distribution. 2- The designer must be aware of the coordination of daylight/view with electrical ambient light and individual task light. 3- It is important that the designer is included in these decisions and is given or develops with other disciplines the cost analysis and life cycle costing to ake the best design decision for client. It is important to analyze building systems from a holistic viewpoint and specify environmentally sustainable materials and methods.

Conclusion Not to be confused with interior decoration, interior design, which evolved from interior decoration, involves a multitude of technical, analytical, creative skills, and understandings of architectural elements. There is a wide range of disciplines within the career of interior design. Domestically the profession of interior design encompasses those designers who may specialize in residential or commercial interior design. Within residential design one can specialize in kitchen and bathroom design, universal design, design for the aged, multifamily housing amongst others. This much I can say..interior designer can do all interior decorators work but interior decorator cant do the designers work.
