Blast 3 The only thing found in this one was the Alosa Sapidissima. This is a species of fish called the American shad. The next one that was found was Plasmodium gallinaceum which is another 1 of the 4 species that cause malaria. This causes malaria in poultry (fish). Blast 5 The big thing that popped up in this blast was DNA from a mosquito. This was an Aedes aegypti, which is also known as the yellow fever mosquito. We already know how mosquitos spread disease, so im not going to go over that. The only thing that we need to know is that this mosquito orginated in Africa but now found in regions such as INDIA, South Africa, Korea, Thailand, and Australia. This could have come from the holy water. Blast 6 The only thing that popped up on this blast was the Denque virus. Some of these symptoms include fever, headache, muscle, and joint pains. Also what is found is a skin rash that is very similar to measles. In life threatening cases of this, it can evolve into a hemorrhagic fever, which results in bleeding, low levels of blood platelets, and plasma leakage. This virus is transmitted by various types of mosquitos that are all from the genus Aedes. Blast 8 The last blast showed the same thing as the last one which showed the Aedes aegypti which is a confirmation that the pond was contaminated with the dengue virus because it contained DNA from the Aedes aegypti which is the mosquito that transmits the disease.

1. What techniques are necessary to attain an uncontaminated DNA sequence that can be compared to known data genetic bases by a forensic scientists or a pathologist? One technique that is definitely is a system that basically does the same thing as the blast machine, another is being very open, because you dont know exactly what you are looking for, so you have to keep an open mind 2. How do you compare DNA sequences? You have to compare DNA sequences by putting them together and making the same chart that the blast machine makes. 3. Why is bioinformatics the future of biotechnology? This can be the future of biotechnology because eventually it would be easier to track down outbreaks, and we could prevent them and make vaccines easier. 4. The thing that is more definitive is sequence data because you can pinpoint what exactly was in this thing that caused the disease 5.
