The average weight of a class of 24 students is 35 kg. If the weight of the teacher be included, the average rises by 400 gms. Find the weight of the teacher Solution: total weight of 24 students= (24 x 35) kg = 840 kg. Total eight of 24 studnts & 1 teacher = (25 x 35.4) kg = 885 kg. Therefore weight of teacher = (885 840) kg = 45 kg.

A man covers a distance from town A to a town B on scooter at 30 km per hour and rides back from B to A at 20-km/hr. find his average speed during the whole journey. Solution: average speed = 2uv U+V = 2 x 30 x 20 (30 + 20) km/hr = 24 km/hr
