a) Broj konekcija znaci ukupan broj konekcija prema centralnoj menadzerskoj konzoli, pomocu koje se administrira zastita svih racunara u mrezi. Ako kupimo 20 licenci, to znaci da ce 20 racunara koje mi odaberemo moci ostvariti konekciju prema ovom Console Manager-u. To ne znaci da samo 20 racunara se moze povezati sa samim serverom (npr. Bazom podataka na tom serveru), vec prema ovoj administratovnoj konzoli. Npr. ako ovu manager konzolu instaliramo na server, sa kojeg cemo upravljati zastitom ostalih racunara u mrezi, to ne znaci da samo 20 racunara moze ostvariti konekciju prema samom serveru (npr. Share-ovanim fajlovima na serveru), vec prema toj centralnoj upravljackoj konzoli. b) Postoje 2 opcije kod instalacije: 1- Instaliramo Endpoint Security na jednom PC-u (ili serveru) koji ima izlaz na internet, koji ce automatski kupiti virusne definicije sa interneta, i distribuirati na ostale racunare u mrezi koje odaberemo unutar te konzole (koji su u lokalnoj mrezi i koji nemaju izlaz na Internet). 2- Instaliramo Endpoint Security na nekom serveru koji nema izlaz na Internet, i unutar njega odaberemo racunare u lokanoj mrezi koji ce se konektovati prema centralnoj konzoli, i koje ce stititi. Virusne difinicije u tom slucaju je potrebno skidati sa neta sa nekog racunara koji ima izlaz na internet, i taj paket instalirati na onom serveru na kojem je instaliran Endpoint Security paket, a centralna upravljacka konzola ce sama distribuirati te virusne definicije na ostale racunare. Mozemo cak odabrati jedan server kojem cemo dati pristup Internetu, ali unutar firewall-a dozvoliti izlaz na internet samo prema avast serveru, kako bi prikupio virusne definicije, a za sve ostalo zabraniti izlaz na internetk kroz firewall.

c) Moze li se izvrsiti instalacija Endpoint Security paketa na serveru koji nema izlaz na internet? Moze. Instalacija se moze izvrsiti u offline modu, jer dobijemo licencni fajl, kojeg prebacimo na offline server, i na upit instalacije avasta, pokazemo putanju do tog licencnog fajla. d) Mozemo li sa interneta skinuti paket virusnih definicija za Endpoint program, i instalirati ga na nekom serveru koji nema izlaz na internet? Moze. Skinemo sa Interneta paket virusnih definicija, i prenesemo taj paket na offline server, gdje ga instaliramo, i virusne definicije ce biti up to date. A Endpoint Security program ce sam distribuirati virusne definicije na ostale racunare koji se nalaze pod njegovom zastitom.

Pitanja: Hello Hello I have some questions regarding Endpoint Protection Suite, in which I'm interested in, but can't find answers on your site. 1- Can Endpoint Protection suite be installed in offline mode, on a server computer which has no Internet connection. The servers that I intend to protect with this suite don't have access to Internet at all. They are just networked into local LAN.

I recommend avast! because it's very lightweight on system resources, and provides very good protection for freeware software. Specially I'm delighted with Sand-Box feature, which is awsome. All in all, this green creature, with two-fingered legs, sneaky eyes, and super-sensitive nose (although it doesn't have muzzle :-D), sniffs all bad malware on my computer, and like chameleon, it kills all viruses with it's long tongue :-). Nothing can pass through it's bulletproof teeth :-) Joke on the side, but this is one of the best antivirus software I have ever tested, and also use it at my work, and home ofcourse.... Thank you Avast ;-)
