FAMI STATEMENT ON INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHT

Hereby, FAMI affirms and assures her stance against any activities towards infringing Intellectual Property Right be it in manufacturing, trading, distributing, advertising or even promoting counterfeit vehicles and its related components. Each FAMI member countries prohibit such activities and adhere to stipulated laws that governed perpetrators and thus punishable as according to the relevant laws if found guilty. Vehemently, the implication of above activities has an impending serious affect towards national economy; retard the growth of invention and innovation and utmost all the risk exposure for safety and environment to the consumers and mankind. Therefore, FAMI and all her associates are committed towards eradicating these unscrupulous activities by cultivating good habit practices, campaigning through public awareness activities in collaboration with stakeholders and authorities and continuously charting new plans and initiatives. Ultimately, the main goal and objective of this statement is leading towards zero counterfeit or infringement, particularly in relation to motorcycle industries amongst all FAMI member countries.
