Susan Sommer Biography

Susan Sommer Resident of Phelps, Wisconsin. Associate Attorney at O'Brien, Anderson, Burgy & Garbowicz in Eagle River. Grew up in Rhinelander. Graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1978. Graduate of the University of Missouri/Columbia with a degree in Journalism. Law Degree from Marquette University Law School in 1987. Assistant District Attorney for 17 years in the State of Wisconsin. In 2004, I left my work to become an Americorps Member in order to build homes with Habitat for Humanity. I worked as an Assistant Construction Supervisor with a Habitat affiliate in South Carolina. In 2008, my husband, whom I met building homes with Habitat, and I came home to Northern Wisconsin and settled in Phelps. I work as an attorney in private practice. My husband is a master carpenter. I was one of the Fall 2012 candidates for the 12th State Senate District in Wisconsin.
