February 3, 2013 New Morning New Hope John 21:1-11 Jesus had just been crucified.

. The disciples had seen Jesus in the upper room, but still Peter, not knowing what to do, made the choice to go fishing to go and do the only thing he knew how to do; some of the other disciples went with them. They fished all night and caught nothing. The morning came, they were still empty handed, having nothing to show for all their effort, when Jesus showed up and called out them. Jesus gave them instructions. They did as He said. The results were overflowing abundance more then they could handle. In the darkest, loneliest, deepest point of despair, when everything seems to be closing in on us and discouragement appears to be the dominating factor in our life we always have the hope of morning. Morning represents optimism and the idea of new a new day and new opportunities. We can try all day and night doing everything we know to do we can cry ourselves to sleep, if sleep even comes at all.but when the morning comes, hope comes with it. The hope of newness comes in with the dawn of morning. As the sun rises, we can rise up, meet with Jesus, and even if we arent aware of Him or His Presence we can KNOW that He is still there and makes Himself known, giving us instruction with the same promise of overflowing abundance above and beyond what we expect or can handle on our own thats the result of obedience.

Psalm 130:6 My soul waits for the LORD, my soul does wait, and in His Word I do hope. My soul waits for the Lord, more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. Lamentations 3: 21- 26 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is the LORDS Mercies that we are not consumed, because His Compassions fail not. They are new every morning: Great is Your Faithfulness. The LORD is my Portion, says my soul; therefore will I hope in Him. The LORD is good to them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeks him. it is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.
