    What is Litter?

    What are the advantages and disadvantages of littering? An advantage of littering is that you dont have to walk to a trash bin. Also, youre giving someone with a job of cleaning trash up something to do. Although, littering helps you when your in a hurry, its is something bad to do and is against the law. A disadvantage of littering is that it harms people, animals, and the environment. It also makes the community look ugly. In addition, it is a high cost to pick it up.

    Litter consists of waste products that have been disposed improperly in an inappropriate location. Litter includes paper, plastic, vehicle debris, and food wrappers.

    Who is more likely to litter?


    People who are most likely to litter are smokers. About 7 billion cigarette butts end up in are waterways, streets, and parks each year. Younger people are also more likely to litter.

    What are the acts of littering?


    Drop with intent- when a person drops an item on the ground with notable intent. Flagrant Fingers- obvious littering of objects without attempt to conceal actions. Inch away- when a person places their litter an inch away and then slowly inch away from it until they can no longer be identified as the litterer. Foul shooters- when a person aim to discard the litter in a trash bin, but after missing they leave the object on the ground Wedgers- when an individual stuffs disposable object into small spaces where they cant be seen. Sweepers- when someone collects their litter by brushing it off a flat surface into their hand or bag but leave their litter behind in the process.

    What are strategies to prevent littering?


    To prevent littering, you can add more trash bins in the places that are littered the most. Also, you can make more groups of people that volunteer to pick up litter. In addition, you can clean up the community for people wont litter. If people see that an area is dirty and polluted, they will be more likely to litter.

    Why do people litter?


    People litter because they are too lazy to find a bin. They also litter because they dont care about their community. Also, people litter because they have a lack of education. In addition, people litter because they are not aware of the consequences of
