OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. 2. Use the lid handle to lift the top lid to the open position. Before baking the first mini cupcakes of the day, pour a teaspoon of vegetable oil to both the top and bottom mini cupcake plates. Spread with an absorbent kitchen towel and wipe off any excess oil. Plug unit into a 120 V AC electrical outlet to preheat. The orange POWER ON light and green READY light will illuminate. Close the lid. NOTE: When your Mini Cupcake Maker is heated for the first time, it may emit slight smoke or odor. This is normal and should disappear after 1 or 2 uses. This does not affect the safety of the appliance. However, as it may affect the flavor of the first mini cupcakes prepared in the Mini Cupcake Maker, it is recommended that these be discarded. While preheating, prepare mini cupcake batter. After approximately 2 to 3 minutes, the green READY light will turn off, indicating the unit is preheated and is ready for use. If mini cupcake liners are not used, for best results, use a non-stick cooking spray to lightly coat the non-stick plates before cooking. This will assist in the removal of the mini cupcakes after cooking. NOTE: Using no liners will produce a crispier, browner cupcake outside. Mini cupcake liners may be used to ease cleanup and present a more professionallooking cupcake. Muffin liners come in all colors and patterns can be used to dress up your cupcakes and match your party theme. When using cupcake liners, place 7 liners on a plate. Spray all of the liners before filling. Recipes may vary in cook time and brownness; batters with more sugar will brown quicker. Note the perfect bake times for each batter recipe for future use. When the Mini Cupcake Maker is preheated, following the recipe, Fill each of the cupcake molds on the lower cooking plate 23 to almost full use between 1 rounded teaspoon to a scant tablespoon of batter. Runnier batters will require more batter. When using liners, place the pre-filled, oiled cupcake liners into the heated lower cooking plate. NOTE: Do not overfill, batter will expand when cooked. Use the handle to lower the top lid. Close the Mini Cupcake Maker and allow to cook for approximately 10-15 minutes or until done. NOTE: Check for doneness by inserting a dry toothpick into the center of the cupcake. If it comes out dry, the cupcake is ready. If necessary, cover and continue cooking for 30 seconds at a time until cupcakes are browned and cooked to your liking. The green READY light will cycle on and off as the unit maintains baking temperatures. Wearing oven mitts, wipe the outside with a clean paper towel or cleaning cloth if necessary. At the end of the cook time, use the handle to lift the top lid.

16. Wearing oven mitts, remove mini cupcakes from the cooking plate using a non-metallic utensil. A small plastic spoon will help to remove the mini cupcake. NOTE: If additional Mini Cupcakes are to be baked, keep the Mini Cupcake Maker closed to retain heat. Always wait until the green READY light turns off before baking more Mini Cupcakes. NOTE: Mini Cupcakes made later may bake faster because extra heat has been retained. It may be necessary to adjust to a shorter cooking time to accommodate. 17. When baking is complete, unplug the power cord from electric outlet. Lift the top lid to expose the cooking plate and allow unit to cool. 18. Remove baked mini cupcakes. 19. Do not clean until unit has been fully cooled.
