Flexible exhaust is for corrosive and extremely high-temperature environments

My approach will be to review the flexibility characteristics of this Flex exhaust supplied by Clevaflex / Federal Mogul for use in extreme temperatures. Type of Material Manufactured using what grade of stainless steel in a roll-lock process. How it is handle this process of manufacturing? We will look how can be dragged, bent, and reshaped numerous times without damage, combining flexibility with crush and corrosion resistance. It may be possible to get some data from supplier/vendor if they done ant test validations, or we may be look into some quick jigs/fixtures and test when they will arrived. This flexible exhaust it must outstand corrosion, salt environmental - We will determine it from type of material usually As I know for an exhaust flex it should be a Stainless Steel SAE grade 316L or 316Ti equivalent EN DIN 1.4404/1.4432/1.4435 or EN-DIN 1.4571. It must be designed for fume and air applications with extremely high temperatures -- up to 1,650F. We will look for suitability for high temperature and corrosive applications where both positive and negative pressures are involved, as well as for chemical fume exhausting. We will gather and have some answers from the Engineering & Technical data- supplier/vendor with: dimensions, wall thickness, bend radius, compression ratio and Negative/Positive/Working pressure of the current flex. As Ive noticed weve shipped out multiple units in this year- the feedback from the visual inspections will really help understanding better. We will also gather how many cases are against how many units were shipped and installed. Other very important investigation we will do is the type of the applications where the failures happen.
