A Moonlight Tango By: E.

Sharkey I hear her voice, But not a sound, I hear a whisper, And yet no substance, It was on the night of the moonlight tango that I finally saw her face, A face of sophistication, Of power, And of grace, I asked her to dance, As a gentleman would, But instead she looked into my bewildered eyes and said, I am the queen of tango, And you nothing but a subject, That treated me poorly at the start of my long and tireless reign, If you wish to dance throw your prejudice out the window, And one day you may get a dance, I will never get a dance, Since before the night was done, The queen of tango died, When the moon was none.
