OBJECTIVE Quality Costing has been successfully used globally as a tool for identifying areas for improvement in an organization. Objective of this certificate course is to enable participating Engineers, Managers and Executives either from Manufacturing or Service Industry (Health Care, Educational Institutions and Government) to better comprehend generally the quality management principles and specifically the CoQ. This course-work focuses on making the participants capable of articulating quality costs, categories, elements, bases and models to develop a common language of quality in their companies. Interactive discussions, videos, case-based and problems-based teaching methodology will be employed. COURSE OUTLINE Introduction: Program Objectives; Evolution of Quality Management and Principles; Linking Quality Improvement to Profits; History of Cost of Quality (CoQ) CoQ Basics: Definitions, Terminology and Concepts; CoQ Categories; CoQ Elements; CoQ Bases; Individual Exercise CoQ Measurement: How to measure CoQ?; CoQ Models in practice; Application of CoQ; Group Exercise CoQ Program: Detailed Phases of Implementation; Case-Study; Quality improvement and CoQ Reduction PROGRAM To Start from: April 8 to 12, 2013
