1. First, the potter chooses and prepares the clay by pressing and squeezing the clay with his hands to make it soft and smooth. It also gets rid of air bubbles that could crack the clay during the firing process. 2. Then, he shapes the clay. He can do this by using one of the methods such as the coil method, slab method, mould method and wheel method. 3. After the clay dries up, it is decorated and glazed. Simple decorations can be made by pressing fingers into the soft clay. Glazing smoothens and waterproofs pottery. 4. Finally, the pottery is baked in an oven called kiln to make it hard and strong.

I like the tortoise because it is easy to take care of. It lays eggs, so I can take care of its young. Maybe I can sell them to get some money. The price is RM 18.00. It is affordable.
