A researcher was interested in the sleep and exam performance. Participants were asked the amount of sleep they got the night before the exam and to report the grade they earned on the test. A bivariate correlation was conducted on their responses. Results indicated that students with a higher amount of sleep (M= 4.60, SD= 2.95) had marginally significant higher scores (M=77.00, SD= 14.56; r= .006, p<.10).
