    Introduction:
    TRYST brings you an opportunity to evaluate your computer aided design skills. Compete with the best engineering minds across the country at Tryst 2013, the annual techfest of IIT-Delhi.

    General instructions:
    1. Bring your laptops with preinstalled CAD modelling software(only SOLIDWORKS, PTC CREO, PRO-E, AUTOCAD or AUTODESK INVENTOR will be allowed) 2. You are requested to charge your laptops before coming to the event although we will provide charging points. 3. Certificates of Excellence and cash prizes will be awarded to the top three participants. 4. The organizers reserve the right to change the rules as they deem fit. 5. All students with a valid identity card of their respective educational institutes are eligible to participate in the event. 6. Organizers decision will be final and binding to all.

    Event details:
    There will be two rounds of this event. 1. Round 1: (CAD prelims) Maximum time allowed will be 30 min. You will be given an Orthographic view (top-front-right) and will be asked to make a 3D cad model of a part. First 20 students successfully completing the model (least error) will be selected for round 2. Lesser number of errors will be given priority over completion time. In case of same number of errors time will be given priority.

    2. Round 2: (CAD- finals) Only those who clear round 1 will be allowed to participate. This is the round to select top three students.

    You will be asked to make an assembly of components. Proper mating constraints should be used in assembly. Maximum time allowed will be 60 min. First three students successfully completing the assembly will be awarded certificate of excellence and cash prizes.

    Event registration:

    Registration should be done online as the number of seats are limited. In case we have some vacant seats, registrations can be done on the spot atleast an hour prior to the event.
