SARA REBECCA APPLEGATE SCVCS 12th GRADER

Congratulations to Sara Rebecca Applegate on being selected by the high school faculty to represent South Carolina Virtual Charter School as Student of the Year. Rebecca began her schooling at SCVCS as an eighth grader and will be graduating this year. Her favorite things about SCVCS are the flexibility it provides, the opportunity to develop a personal sense of responsibility, and the teachers she has had over the years. While attending SCVCS, Rebecca has participated in the National Honor Society, the SCVCS Book Club, and served on the Hi-Wire Magazine staff. Rebecca is involved in several extra-curricular activities. She enjoys serving at her church and singing in a choir with her peers. She also enjoys babysitting and working at a local pet shop. Rebecca enjoys science as well as music. Upon graduation, she plans to attend a four year university with a strong Pre-Med and Music program with the hope of later either attending medical school or a becoming a Physicians Assistant. Congratulations to Rebecca and her family on receiving this honor. She will be recognized at the South Carolina Public Charter School banquet later this school year.
