Dear CCSD Human Resources: As a Nevada State College graduate I am ready to start my career as a special education teacher in the Clark County School District. With my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a concentration in Special Education I am confident that I will be a great candidate for the position available. I am certain that my attitude and motivation is high among others and would be a great asset to any school. I have enclosed my application and resume for your consideration. With the completion of my student teaching at Booker Elementary School, I know I am ready to take on the pleasure of teaching todays youth. I have a vast amount of energy, patience and motivation to give students a wonderful learning experience. With my commitment to education, I know students will foster a love for learning as well as be excited to come to school each and every day. As a Special Ed teacher it is important to be kind, caring, respectful, motivated and dependable. In hiring me you would get an individual who is all that was mentioned and much more. I am eager to learn and to share my love for education with others. Although I do not have a vast amount of experience, please know that I make up for it with creativity and a go-getter attitude. I am quick to learn and welcome any new opportunities or challenges. Aside from student teaching, I have also substituted and have been a tutor for primary grades including autism. With this experience I was able to learn how to manage different behaviors and situations that arise. I have also been introduced to curriculum engine and other educational sites which will help during my teaching. Last, but not least, I am fluent in Spanish and have studied over 3 years in American Sign Language.
