Introduction
My name is Bhume Sudsawad and I am studying physical science class. My portfolio is mostly all about the assignments and worksheets, but there are also some papers that are quizzes and worksheets. I have done many assignments such as periodic table crossword, NASA exercise: Survival on the Moon, and the lesson concept review to make me understand more about the lesson that I am studying. My overall strengths in this subject is that I am able to understand each lesson properly if I read about it again after the class. My overall weakness in this subject are that I may not get a good grade in the test, as mostly I will forget about the lesson during the test time. I still dont know what to do with it also. So I just read the book again and again.

NASA Exercise: Survival on the Moon

This assignment is including in this portfolio because I think that this assignment is good that we can learn that how is the moon like in the real life and we can also know and compare our knowledge to National Aeronautics and Space Administration or NASA scientists.

Elements of the Periodic Table

This worksheet is very fun to do and I like it very much as it is very easy, but it can also help you improve your skill in remembering the abbreviation of the elements. You can have fun and learn at the same time. This worksheet is actually for British student as it includes some words that spell the British English way.

ESLO

This worksheet helps me improve my drawing skill and thinking skill in general science. It helps me think about how can Expected School-wide Learning Outcome or ESLO can relate to science class.

Atoms and the Periodic Table Concept Review

From doing this review worksheet, I can get a plenty of knowledge from it. This worksheet is really helpful to me in my study and preparing myself for a chapter test in a very near future. It helps me more in identifying the families of elements such as alkali metal, alkaline-earth metal, and more

Matter Concept Review

From doing this review worksheet, I get the idea of what is matter. Matter is generally considered to be anything that has mass and volume. I also get the idea

of what is pure substance. This worksheet has helped me a lot in my studying in physical science.

Naming Compounds

From reading this sheet, I get the idea of how to name the compound easily. With the Greek prefixes like 1 is mono, 2 is di, 3 is tri, and so on. Without this sheet it will be quite hard for me to understand how to name the compound. So this sheet is very important to me and Im

sure that it is also important for other students and that is the reason why I put this sheet in my portfolio.

Chapter 2 Test

From doing this chapter 2 test, I have knowledge of how the atom is like, how the element is like, and so much more that I couldnt just explain it here because it will take up a lot of space of the important stuff. This chapter is mostly about the introduction to physical science. So basically this chapter is really important to the study of physical science because if you cant really understand this chapter much then you cannot do the rest of the chapter easily as it is hard to understand the other chapter without understanding this chapter first.

Chapter 3 Test

This chapter test is mostly about the state of matter like solid, liquid, gas, and plasma. Most of the people will heard about solid, liquid, and gas, but how about plasma? Plasma is a state of matter similar to gas in which a certain portion of the particles is ionized. The plasma state is not in the book because it is more in detail, like more in physics. The book is only about the beginner level but this is a little bit more advanced. In chapter 3, there is something about how to calculate the force and pressure also. In some part I did it wrong for the whole part like in a problem part as for number 11, I dont really know why do I get only 0.75 but the actual answer is 33,250 N. For number 12, I just write the unit wrong just like most of the students in my class. I wrote

there kPa instead of N/cm2, but for my calculation is correct.

Chapter 4 Test

In chapter 4 test, it is mostly about the atomic structure, Atoms are made up of 3 types of particles electrons, protons and neutrons. These particles have different properties. Electrons are tiny, very light particles that have a negative electrical charge. Protons are much larger and heavier than electrons and have the opposite charge, protons have a positive charge. Neutrons are large and heavy like protons; however neutrons have no electrical charge. Some of the answers that I did wrong in this chapter test is because it is a silly mistake. I dont really like silly mistake as I already understand the lesson but I just did something stupid and ruin my whole test.

Making Ionic Compounds

In this assignment, I get to know how to make the ionic compound and stuff that is related to it. This assignment is really fun to do, I can say that. If you already understand this assignment then it is really easy to do it. Everyone can do it, I believe that. Mainly there

are two ways of how to make the ionic compound. There is the cross the number way, and minus the number way. Actually I prefer the cross way as I think it is easier to me.

Naming Covalent Compounds

From doing this worksheet, I get the idea of how to name the covalent compounds. It is very easy to do

also. It is also fun and enjoyable things to do in physical science class. In making covalent compounds, you have to put the Greek prefix in front of the name of the compound.

Learning Style Test

Learning style test give you the idea of what do you prefer in your learning skill. This test is quite fun to do also. This test is like multiple choices but instead of the choices that are A, B, C, and D. They become V, R, A, and K. For me I get letter A the most.

Chemical Bonding Activity

This assignment will help me get some practice in learning how atoms form ionic bonds. It helps me a lot and makes me understand more about this lesson. Even

though I may get low score in this assignment but now I already understand how to do it properly at least most of it. So next time Im sure that my score will be higher than this in this lesson.

Plasma

In physics and chemistry, plasma is a state of matter similar to gas in which a certain portion of the particles is ionized. Heating a gas may ionize its molecules or atoms (reduce or increase the number of electrons in them), thus turning it into plasma, which contains charged particles: positive ions and negative electrons or ions. Ionization can be induced by other means, such as strong electromagnetic field applied with a laser or microwave generator, and is accompanied by the dissociation of molecular bonds, if present. Plasma has properties quite unlike those of solids, liquids, or gases and is considered a

distinct state of matter. Like gas, plasma does not have a definite shape or a definite volume unless enclosed in a container; unlike gas, under the influence of a magnetic field, it may form structures such as filaments, beams and double layers. Some common plasma is found in stars and neon signs. -Wikipedia

Plasma Reflection

In learning this new information, I get to understand that this article is really interesting to read. It contains about another state of matter. As normal people we will know that there are 3 states of matter, solid, liquid, and gas. This article helps me know more about another state of matter, the plasma. Most plasma will be found in space. This is one of the main ideas that I know from the article. This article I get it from Wikipedia.

Hydrogen

Hydrogen is a chemical element with symbol H and atomic number 1. With an average atomic weight of 1.00794 u (1.007825 u for hydrogen-1), hydrogen is the lightest element and its monatomic form (H1) is the most abundant chemical substance. Non-remnant stars are mainly composed of hydrogen in its plasma state. At standard temperature and pressure, hydrogen is a colorless, odorless, tasteless, non-toxic, nonmetallic, highly combustible diatomic gas with the molecular formula H2. Naturally occurring atomic hydrogen is rare on Earth because hydrogen readily forms covalent

compounds with most elements and is present in the water molecule and in most organic compounds. Hydrogen plays a particularly important role in acidbase chemistry with many reactions exchanging protons between soluble molecules. -Wikipedia

Hydrogen Reflection

From reading this interesting article. I can conclude that hydrogen has no color at standard temperature. Hydrogen is really basic element that most people know

it. We may have heard hydrogen many times already, but if you read this article. You will surely get new information of the hydrogen that you already know before. It may change your point of view to the hydrogen for the rest of your life.

Periodic Table
The periodic table of the chemical elements displays the organizing principles of matter. The table is a tabular depiction of the chemical elements and their characteristics. Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev is generally credited with the invention of the periodic table. The layout of the table has been refined and extended over time, as new elements have been discovered and new theoretical models have been developed to explain chemical behavior. Periods

Rows of elements are called periods. The period number of an element signifies the highest unexcited energy level for an electron in that element. The number of elements in a period increases as you move down the periodic table because there are more sublevels per level as the energy level of the atom increases. Groups Columns of elements help define element groups. Elements within a group share several common properties. Groups are elements have the same outer electron arrangement. The outer electrons are called valence electrons. Because they have the same number of valence electrons, elements in a group share similar chemical properties ACS (Chemistry Of Life) & About.com Chemistry

Periodic Table Reflection

From reading this article about periodic table, I get the idea of how it works and who invented it. Im really surprise that the person who invented this thing is actually a Russian chemist as I thought that the person who invented this thing will be German. I dont know why also. So from this event that occur I can say that from reading science article in the internet. It can really surprise you sometimes.
