SCOPE There are four (4) categories of pharmaceutical waste that need to be managed and they are defined

as follows: Ada 4 kategori yang harus di kelola, yaitu RCRA Hazardous Waste: Waste pharmaceuticals that meet the definition of a hazardous waste and must be segregated and managed as hazardous waste. These include nine antineoplastic agents. Limbah farmasi yang termasuk definisi limbah berbahaya dan harusdipisahkan dan dikelola sebagai limbah berbahaya. Non-RCRA Antineoplastic Hazardous Waste: The Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) Environmental Programs (EP) Directorate has made the decision to manage all antineoplastic agents as hazardous waste regardless of whether or not they are technically listed as RCRA antineoplastic hazardous waste due to their inherent toxicity. BMP Non-Hazardous Pharmaceutical Waste: All other pharmaceutical

waste not included in one of the above three definitions. As a best management practice, consider managing all pharmaceuticals not managed as hazardous waste through incineration at a regulated medical waste or municipal incinerator permitted to accept non-hazardous pharmaceutical waste. This decision can be made at the facility level.
Limbah Farmasi BMP tidak berbahaya: Semua limbah farmasi yang tidak termasuk dalam 3 definisi di atas. Untuk pengelolaan yang terbaik, perhatikan untuk mengelola semua limbah yng tidak terkelola sbagai limbah berbahaya melalui mesin pembakaran/penghancuran limbah obat-obatan resmi atau milik pemerintah. Keputusan ini bisa diambil di level fasilitas.
