March-April 2008 The Suriname Ministry Hough Family 1. Where do you see God working in the Suriname Ministry?

Many opportunities are opening up for us in the area of giving the Second Coming of Christ Bible Study. We are presently giving the study of the Second Coming of Christ (SCC) for the staff at Kinderhuis Sudhan. We have about four churches that would like to have it now, but our time restraints with wanting to come home for furlough is pressing. We have a couple films we will show before leaving for furlough, Lord willing. There are a group of house churches that are predominately Hindustanis and we are leaning in helping them in this direction that the Lord is leading us. 2. What need do you see on the Field for your work in Suriname at this point? Well, we just moved and that was as what I thought it would be, one of the worst things that I do not like doing. It took us almost a year to come to the conclusion that we have to move after 17 years living in our house. Moving and throwing away things that you have accumulated plus trying to do the ministry. It took us almost a month and a half to move. We only have a two-year lease, so we may have to do that again in another 20 months. We just need help in planning to come home for our furlough. It will be two (2) years in June that we left for our last furlough. We would really not like to come home until next year, but there is a need to see our church family, friends and relatives to get an up-to-date picture as to what is happening and where we are in our relationships of course, to refresh the work that is being done here in the hearts of those who have invested in the Suriname Ministry. 3. What unique opportunities for ministry do you have in the Suriname Ministry? Our unique opportunity is to be able to go into the homes and to take the Bible Study course/presentation into places where Believers otherwise might have an opportunity to receive what we are offering. Our main emphasis is to bring home the point that we have a Holy Priesthood and we are to be a Holy People and those need to be exercised by any means necessary according to Gods Will. Of course the radio program is still going and takes a lot of time in preparing for its program. Sometimes, I want to invest my full time in this endeavor. Please pray for us in our work. I may end up training people to give the Second Coming of Christ pray for us.

What significant events (related to the work or to political, economic or religious events) have occurred in the Suriname Ministry? Economics are really putting a squeeze in our work. Counting the cost is so important in doing this work. Satan and the World are sparing no expenses in prorogating is venom of sin and rebellion against our Lords Will. We pay everything in according to the exchange rate of the Euro. The Dollar has fallen drastically against the Euro (20%) within the last year, plus the greed of men in taking advantage of the situation. Our gas is almost $5.00 a gallon. We have been entrusted with this ministry of reconciliation from the Lord and to destroy its and Satans work. But how are we willing to respond and with what convictions?

What prayer request or praise to the Lord do you have for the work in the Suriname Ministry? 1. 2. 3. Praise Item: We are finishing up a 10-week course on the 2nd Coming of Christ in April in Dutch. Praise Item: Our radio program in Sarnami. It is a struggle at times but we are maintaining it. The struggle comes mostly in time management. A Praise/Prayer Item: The principal is having patience with us. We are only meeting half of Michas/Melodys school tuition. Please pray for us in that light. Praise/Prayer: We have a new residence for the next two (2) years. We are tired from the moving, changing address process with Immigration, etc. Please pray for our adjust as soon as possible -- It comes with the territory of missions I guess still dont like moving. Praise/Prayer: Preparing for furlough (June to September 2008), Lord willing. We are not sure how our finances will be at that time to come home, but these are the dates that we are planning to be in the U.S. There may be a chance that we may have to put off furlough this year. Prayer: The Lord will meet the basic needs for this ministry. We just want to take the time to thank you for your prayers and support. We pray that God will continue to bless you and your endeavors for Him.
