First of all, I would start off with congratulating each and everyone of you for being inducted into

this excellent and nationally acknowledged club NHS. I look forward to working with all of you as a group as I know this is one filled with students of academic merit as well as ethically sound people.One of my purposes here today is to discuss academic scholarship,and I like to emphasize that the re is much difference between this type of scholarship and financial aid. Academ ic scholarship is one that is based on acamdemic excellence as well as exception al skills, this being the most important factor in colleges accepting you. I wou ld like to inform everyone that if the gpa of anyone in NHS falls below 5.8, tha t person will be automatically be expelled. I hope that this is a situation that none of you have to face, and I have much faith in each and every one of you. I would like to advice all the juniors to start working from the beggining and co ntinue to excel in senior year. I also want to recommend that all of you partici pate in community service as giving back to the community is also a crucial aspe ct of this club.
