A. ACCOMMODATION FOR CONTEXT AND LEARNING NEEDS


1. Contextual Variables Affect Teaching and Learning Student variables such as home life, background and culture that may affect learning Personal knowledge of student that may help in planning the students program ___________________________________________________________ -Develep a dialogue with my students as a way to integrate curriculum and student experiences through their personal interests, background and home life, - Introduce a classroom energizer like a Just Dance 4 video or activity dice bowling when students are beginning to tire or become unfocused.

E: STUDENT EVALUATION AND ASSESSMENT

Purposes of Student Assessment Use variety of tools: peer evaluation, projects, written tests, oral tests, reports, essays, signaled responses, clear explanations Positive comments on materials marked, along with meaningful help suggestions Meaningful dialogue with parents and students Not just for student evaluation, but for instructional diagnosis Use results to modify teaching practices and learning activities Analyze the results and then use them effectively I review bellwork and homework to determine what parts needs to be retaught Use variety of assessment types: creating geographical maps, PowerPoint presentations, research questions, CLOZE activities, Posters, etc.
