On enrolment night and during rehearsals on 18th June, 16th July, 13th August, 3rd September we will have a break with Fairtrade tea or coffee and biscuits. Please let one of the committee members know if you can help serve and clear up.
PAPERWORK GALORE!

With this mailing you will find your enrolment card and music slip. Please bring them with you on 4th June already filled in with 45 subscription (sadly we have had to increase the subscription this year) either in cash or a cheque made payable to Leeds Methodist Choir.

Introducing our new

MUSICAL DIRECTOR

GRAHAM COATMAN
Graham enjoys an active and varied career as composer, musical & artistic director, conductor and pianist. He trained at Bristol University, Guildhall School of Music & Drama, Nottingham University and Huddersfield University. Graham's current appointments include Director of 20,000 Voices, promoting singing projects, workshops & events across the north east, Composition Tutor for Open College of the Arts and Senior Lecturer at Leeds College of Music. He also directs Leeds Guild of Singers, Huddersfield University Chamber Choir and New Music Ensemble, and is Director of HISS (the Historically Informed Summer School). Graham leads choral vocal, music-theatre and creative music workshops for many organisations, including Leeds University, Swaledale Festival, North East Early Music Forum, in schools and arts centres across the UK. He has directed education projects & concerts with major opera companies and orchestras, including English National Opera, Opera North, Welsh National Opera, BBC Philharmonic, Orchestra of St John's. He was Artistic Director of Hexham Abbey Festival 2007-11. Find out more at: www.grahamcoatman.org Several choir members have been to Grahams workshops and thoroughly enjoyed them. REHEARSALS

At Leeds Methodist Mission, Oxford Place, Leeds City Centre every Tuesday from 4th June until 10th September 2013 (including Tuesdays of Bank Holiday weeks), from 7.15 pm 9.15 pm. (Hall open from 7.00 pm) CONCERT DAY Rehearsal will be in the Town Hall from 2 pm 5 pm.
CONCERT DRESS

Gents: Dress suit, black bow tie. Ladies: Long plain black skirt or plain black evening trousers, black shoes and hosiery, long-sleeved white blouse. Music folders are provided for use at the concert.
