In terms of the ADEPT Performance Standards, what are your professional challenges? How do you plan to meet these challenges?

In terms of the ADEPT Performance Standards, my professional challenge is ADEPT Performance Standard Nine: Managing the Classroom. This standard is the biggest challenge for me. There are a few students in each class that has had a history of behavior problems. I have to figure out how to assert myself.

Describe your students overall progress and achievement. What insights have you gained into ways to improve student progress and achievement?

The students respond well to games. They also enjoy moving around the room. So, I will incorporate more kinesthetic activities and I will continue to play various educational games.

How will you use the knowledge you have gained through this professional selfassessment to promote your continuous professional growth and collaboration?

Completing this professional self-assessment has given me some insight into what I need to work on. When I become a teacher I want to have good classroom management and I want to collaborate with my colleagues.
