The Watch-me system was designed to monitor caravans, boats, vehicles and assets in general, when owners are not there, from a central point. An infrared movement detector is mounted on the inside of the item to be protected. The detector is armed or disarmed through the keyswitch which is mounted externally. When the system is armed and the PIR detects movement inside the vehicle/premises an alarm signal is sent to the monitoring system, located within the range of 1 to 3 km, typically a guard house or supervisors office. The monitoring system will display which unit was activated, printing both the time and the unit number. At the same time an audible alarm will be set off. Optionally the output of the monitoring station could be linked to a paging system. Alternatively instead of having a movement detector installed, a 3 km, 4 channel portable remote control could be used, to transmit emergency, medical, panic, fire etc.
