Perkembangan teknologi informasi semakin bertambah maju. Kemajuan tersebut dapat dilihat dari banyaknya teknologi canggih yang sekarang mulai bermunculan. Teknologi tersebut misalnya seperti aplikasi atau perangkat lunak yang berguna untuk mengintegrasikan dua sistem yang berbeda. Web service merupakan aplikasi yang dapat berintegrasi dengan aplikasi lain yang mempunyai format XML sehingga data dapat diakses oleh sistem lain walaupun berbeda platform, sistem operasi, maupun bahasa compiler. Penelitian ini berhasil membuat sistem informasi pengelolaan nilai praktikum menggunakan PHP dengan memanfaatkan web service yang dapat mempermudah proses pengelolaan nilai praktikum seperti pencatatan, perhitungan, dan penyimpanan nilai praktikum yang dilakukan pada laboratorium pemrograman program studi teknik informatika. The technologies such as applications or software that allows to integrate two different system. Web Service is an application that can integrate with other applications that have XML format so that data can be accessed by other systems, although different platforms, operating systems, compilers and languages. This research succeeded in making Information System of Management Practical values using PHP by utilizing Web Service that can simplify the process of practical value such as record keeping, computation, and storage of the practical value is performed on programming laboratory of informatics techniques University of Jenderal Soedirman.
