Munajat of Hikam Duas 11 ilahi qad alimtu bikh tilafi athar, wa tunak ulati atwar, an-na muradaka min-ni

anta taarafa ilayya fi kulli shayin hat-ta la ajhalaka fi shay Oh my Lord, I have learned through the changes you apply to the beings and moving them into various phases that what you want from me, is that I get to know You through them, and not be ignorant of you through any of them. 13 Ilahi man kanat mahasinuhu masawi, fa kayfa la takunu masawihi masawi wa man kanat haqa-iquhu daawi, fa kayfa la takunna da-awihi, da-awi Oh my Lord, anyones whose beauties are faults, how could his faults not be faults? Anyones whose realities are claims, how could not his claims be claims? 15Ilahi, anta talamu wa ilam tadu mi taatu min-ni, filan jazma, faqad da-amata mahabatan wa azma Oh my Lord, you know that even when the acts of worship are being done continually, they are being done on a level of love and wish Ilahi kayfa azzimu, wa antal kahir? Wa kayfa laa aazimu, wa antal aamir? 1) How should I have an aspiration to do something while you are in control of everything. 2) How should not do something, while you are the One who commands good. ilahi, taradud hi fil-athar, yujibu buudal mazar, fajmani alayk bi khidmatin tusinuli alayk Oh Allah, (complaining about long stay in the world and preoccupation with everything) my long preoccupation with other than You, (the world) has taken me far from You (makes my journey to You longer). Bring me to You, through a certain act of worship that brings me to You. ilahi hukmukan-nafidh, wama shi atu kal-qahira. lam yatruka lithi makalin makala, wala lidhi halan haala Oh my Lord, Your absolute decree and Your overwhelming will have not left to anyone who would say a word, any single word, and anyone who has a state, any different state. --people who complain about decrees they dont like, people dont complain when things are well. Ilahi kamin taatin banaytuha, wa halaatun shayyat-tuha, hadama itimada alayha adluk, bal aqalani minha fadluk Oh Allah, how many an act of worship I built, and how many a good state I establish was destroyed by Your Justice, and was turned back to me by Your bounty. ilahi, kulla ma akhrasani lumi antatani karamuuk. wa kullama ayasatni aw safi atmaatni minanuk kulla ma akhrasani lumi--when my sins, its only Your generosity make me hopeful Oh my Lord, every time my wretchedness makes me speechless, Your generosity opens my mouth to speak. And every time my attributes make me hopeless, Your favors make me hopeful.

19 Ilahi, kayfa yustadhillu alayk, bima hujudihi mufatakarun alayk? ayakuna li ghayruka minadhumur, ma laysa laak hat-ta yakuna huwal mudh-hira laak? matta ghibta hat-ta tahtaja illa daleelun, yadulu alayk? wa mat-ta ba-udta hat-ta takunal athar, hiyyalati tusilu alayk? Oh my Lord, how could we find proofs to You in what is in its very existence in need of You? Would anything other than You be more manifest than You, so that it could lead to You? When did you disappear to need a proof to lead to You, and when did You get away so that the traces are the ones that lead to You? Ilahi, amartu bi rujui ilal athar, far-jini ilayha bi kiswatal anwar, wa hidayatil istibsaar. Hat-ta arjia alayka minha kama dakhaltu ilayka minha, masunas-sirri an-in-nadhira ilayha, wa marfual himmati anil 3itimaadi alayha. Innaka ala kulli shayin qadir O my Lord, You command that we refer to the beings, so bring me back to them, with a garment of light and guidance of insight, so that I return to You from them, as I entered to You from them, with my secret protected from looking at them. And my himmah elevated from relying on them. You are capable of doing everything. Ilahi, hadha dhulli dhahirun bayna yadayk, wa hadha haali la yakhfa alayk. minka atlubu lusu ilayk. wa bika astadillu alayk. fah dini bi nurika ilayk. wa aqimni bisidqil ubudiyati bayna yadayk. OH my Lord, this is my humility clear in front of You, and this is my state is not hidden from You. From You I seek, reaching You. and by You I take proofs leading to You. So guide me with Your light to You. And let me stand with true servitude before You. ilahi alimni min ilmikal makhzun, wa sun-ni bi sir-ris mikal masoon. Oh my Lord, grant me some of Your treasured knowledge. And protect me with the secret of Your protected Name. ilahi, haqiqni bi haqaiqi ahlil qurb, waslukbi masalika ahli jahzb Oh Allah, let me realize the realities of the people brought close to you. And let me travel through the ways of the people who are attracted to You. ilahi, innal qaada wal qadara ghalabani, wa innal hawa bi wath-th iki shahwati asarani. 2) fakun antan naseerali hat-ta tansurani wan tansurabi. 3) wa aghnini bi fadlika, hat-ta astaghniya bika antalabi. 4) antaladhi ashraqtal anwara fi qulubi awliya ika hat-ta arafuka wa wahhaduk. 5) wantaladhi azaltal aghyara an qulubi ahbabik, hat-ta lam yuhibu siwaka walam yal jau il-la ghayrik 6) antal munisu lahum, haythu aw hashat hum al awalim, 7) wa antaladhi hadaytahum, hattastabanat lahum maa alim, 8) ma dhawajada man faqadak, wa maladhi faqada man wajadak, 9) laqad khaba mar-radiya dunaka badala, wa laqad kh-khasira mam bagha anka mutahawwala. Oh my Lord, qada and qadar overwhelm me, 2) Be my supporter, so you give me support and you provide through me support for others. 3) And make me due with Your bounties so I dont need to ask You for

anything. 4) Your are the One who made the lights shine on the hearts of Your friends that they knew You and confessed to Your unity. 5) You are the One who removed all others (azaltal aghyar) from the hearts of Your lovers so they didnt love other than You and didnt find shelter in other than You. 6) They find the pleasure in Your company (al-munis---uns) when they felt aloof from the world. 7) You were the one who guided them till the landmarks of guidance were clear to them. 8) He who has lost You what else did he find? And He who has found You, what else did he lose? 9) He who has accepted other than You instead of You, is in real loss. He who wanted to move from You to others, is indeed loss. ilahi, kayfa yurja siwaka wa anta ma qatatal ihsan 2) wa kayfa yutlab min ghayrika wa anta ma badalta adata limtinan 3) ya man adhaka ahiba ahu halawatu mua nasati, faqamu bayna yadayhi mutamalikeen, 4) wa yaman albasa awliya ahu malabi hibisaybati, faqamu bi izzatihi mustaizzin, 5) anta dhakiru min qablidh-dhakireen, 6) wa antal badiu bil ihsanil min qabli tawaju il abideen, 7) wa antal jawadu bil atai min qabli talabi talibeen, 8) wa antal wahab bu lana, thumma antali ma wahabtana minal mustaqrideen Oh My Lord how could anyone other than You be hoped for something, whilst you have never stopped extending your favors to us? 2) How could we ask for something from other than You, whilst you never stopped You (ada habit) 3) Oh You, who gave His lovers the taste of the pleasure (dhawk) of HIs company 4) O You who dressed His friends with the garments of awe so they stood up taking pride from Allah subhana wa taala (izzah). 5) Oh Allah, you made mention of us before we made mention of You. 6) You are the One who started His favors before the worshippers turned to Him. 7) You are the Magnanimous giving, all gifts before people put their requests 8) You are the giver to us, then you ask us to lend You from what You give us. ilahi, utlubni bi rahmatika hat-ta asila ilayk. waj-dhubni bi mina tika uqbila alayk O Allah, bring us with Your mercy so that we reach You (through the mercy not the taste). And attract me to You through your favors, ilahi inna rajai la yankatiu anka wa in asaytuk, kama an-na khawfi la yuzailuni wa in atatuk. O my Lord, my hopes in You never stop even when I disobey You. Exactly as my fear never leaves me even when I am obedient to You. ilahi, qadafatani lal awalimu ilayk, wa qad awqaf-fani ilmi bi qaramika alayk O my Lord, the worlds have pushed me towards You and my awareness of Your generosity has made me stop with You. ilahi, qayfa akhibu wa-anta amali How would I fail and You are my hope? am qayfa uhanu wa alayka mutakali How could I be humililated whilst I rely upon You?

ilahi, qayfa astaizu wa anta fidh-dhillati arkaztani, am qayfa la astaizu wa ilayka qadnasabtani How would I have izzah while you have put me in a state of humility? How could I not have izzah while You have made me Your servant?
