Time has flown and our new students need to go back home As a class we want to
give them a warm farewell and your teachers will be gathering going away presents for
them. We will compile all of these in a care package for them to take home. Think back
and look at all of your notes to develop thoughtful and useful gifts that Gilgamesh,
Hatshepsut, Daro, and Ban Zhao will be able to use once they return to home. Consider
facts or geography features that you know about the civilization. Then think of
something that would help them deal with this environment.
Expectations for gifts:
- 3 items for each new student (12 total) with an explanation of why the item
would be useful
for them in their homeland
- Creative presentation in cut-outs, actual materials, pictures, diagrams, etc.
Use your imagination!
-Inclusion of 10 vocabulary words total
Sample item for someone from DC: Since Washington, DC is famous for its cherry
blossoms, I am going to give the gift of a paintbrush. The pink blossoms only open for a
short time every year and many tourists come from all over to see them. The paintbrush
is so that they can paint a picture and keep the memory all year long.
