ART HALF TERM PROGRESS 25/02/13

After half term break the ESA (externally set assignment) sketch book should have a substantial amount of work completed. In terms of pages, at least 20 pages by the time we resume on 25th Feb. This must include: The intro structure covered in the first week of ESA release such as mind map (provided which you must add to) the statement of intent themed imaginative title page and definitions, and the observation drawings based on your first idea/interpretation. 6 PAGES, MINIMUM Identify 4 artists that in your opinion are good examples of practice and investigation relating to the theme. Copy one key piece of work and make 2 studies that are directly influenced by their technique and approach. Create 6 imaginative pages that will form backdrops to your investigation. This must be creatively themed and consist of various medium. Take 12 photographs in response to the ESA. You must explain and justify the resulting images in your lessons next half term. An exhibition I asked you to research and back up your ideas with at least 1 exhibition or cultural reference during half term. Please provide evidence of this, imaginatively displayed. Two possible areas of investigation, independent of ideas already addressed as a group. You must take ownership of a specific interpretation of the ESA theme. Prepare a presentation to explain and justify your ideas.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MINIMUM OF 15 SATISFACTORALY COMPLETED PAGES COMPLETED IN YOUR SKETCHBOOK BY FIRST LESSON STARTING WEEK OF 24TH FEBRUARY, YOUR DOS WILL BE CONSULTED AND MEETINGS ARRANGED TO ASSESS WHY YOU HAVE FAILED TO MEET THE REQUIRED AMOUNT OF WORK.
