    They say on the day That I was born

    I didnt want to leave


    The dark and the warmth

    On being a person

    I gave it my best
    But in the end All I made

    was a great big mess.

    I dont want to be a human being


    I tried it for a while But didnt like the scene

    I dont want to be a human being


    Its not what it is

    And it aint what it seems.

    Id rather be a cow than a human being walk real slow

    And not have to think

    And how about a pet


    Like a big fat cat

    Someone always home


    To scratch my back.

    Or a quick-footed deer Crossing a road Dodging a truck

    Spilling all its load.

    Maybe a wind Kicking up the dirt Slammed against a wall

    And not getting hurt.

    How about a star Hiding in the clouds

    Saving all my light


    For when Im down and out.

    Or to be a coin In a game of chance

    Or the ace of spades


    In a twenty one hand.

    I dont want to be a human


    being

    I tried it for a while


    But didnt like the scene No I don`t want to be a human

    being
    Its not what it is

    And aint what it seems.
