Este trabajo, pretende mostrar el papel que han jugado las tecnologas de la informacin y la comunicacin y en particular el internet, en la configuracin de nuevos espacios de produccin y acceso a los textos, y de manera puntual, cul ha sido y la posicin de los maestros y la escuela con respecto a esta realidad. Se parte de la construccin de un estado del arte con respecto a la problemtica enunciada y se incorporan al anlisis las ideas, reflexiones y apreciaciones del autor, producto de su experiencia como docente y de reiteradas aproximaciones al universo tecnolgico en el mbito educativo. No se ha recurrido a la observacin puntual y directa de la produccin textual de un grupo particular de jvenes sino que se ha aprovechado la interaccin con jvenes estudiantes a travs de herramientas tecnolgicas como el correo electrnico, los blogs y los sitios de redes sociales, para acumular impresiones e ideas que han permitido construir una aproximacin concreta a la realidad comunicativa de los jvenes en los contextos tecnolgicos.
